Overview
The film portraits the story of Kannan and Muthu (Vineeth and Biju Menon) persons who has dealings with gold smuggling around Kerala, Tamilnadu and Mumbai. Suddenly one day Kannan was found dead at a lodge in Mumbai regarding a gold deal after this incident the mystery started about the death of Kannan and the CBCID Team from Mumbai associated with the murder case.
Positives
The protagonists characters, especially Vineeth Sreenivasan, done another awesome performance after Mukundan Unni Associates. Kannan was totally a different character which he had ever played, also It will be a benchmark of his career. Biju Menon, played Muthu, bestfriend of Kannan, he had given a uniqueness to the character and the combination scenes were quite interesting and it depicted their attachment. Also Vineeth Thattil, who did the character, Bijoy and the Crime Branch Main officer Jayanth Sakhalkar played by the renowned bollywood actor Gireesh Kulkarni was also performed well. Kochupreman, Aparna Balamurali and other actors also done their portions good.
Looking into the other department, Bijibal Music and background score, elevated and engaged the movies more. Also the writing of Shyam Pushkaran, is the backbone of the movie and I think it's his first Crime Drama scripted by Shyam. Also the climax portions was neatly written and it slowly reveals the mystery part and characterization of Kannan.
Negatives
I found the only negative of this movie is the slow pace of storytelling, I felt little bit lag sometimes but it's not a big problem and it's not affected to engaging into the film.
My Opinion
Overall Thankam, is a well written, Crime Thriller and worth to watch, Vineeth Sreenivasan - actor who is currently moving in the best phase of his acting career and he creating magic in his every movies with versatile and memorable characters. Mukundan Unni and Now Kannan - Improved a lot and Expecting a lot from you.
