DOMINIC AND THE LADIES' PURSE (2025)

OVERVIEW 

CI Dominic, a former police officer, now running a private Detective Agency in Ernakulam city. As the title itself says that he was getting a Ladies Purse from his house owner, then he found it's original person of the Purse but she is missing. Then Dominic taken that missing case and rest is revealing the mysteries about the Purse and the person's related to the purse. This is the synopsis of the film. 

Mammootty played the character of CI Dominic and Gokul Suresh was his Assistant Detective. Also Siddique, Viji Venkatesh, Vineeth, Vijay Babu, and Sushmita Bhat are the lead cast of the movie. 

Goutam Vasudev Menon, One of my favourite Tamil Director, Dominic and The Ladies' Purse is his Mollywood Entry as a Director. What I feel from this movie will explain later. 

POSITIVE

GVM Quality & Realistic Making 🤍👌

As his previous Tamil Movies, this film also has a freshness in it's way of storytelling, revealing different characters, and the main highlight of the film is everything portrayed in a humours way and he added some sort of nice comedy counters throughout the movie. Personally I enjoyed every counters and most of them are really work-out and I feel like complete different aspect of storytelling through the comic situations. Also the key actors especially Mammookka and Gokul nicely handled the humour and it's highly engaging throughout the film. 

Casting & Performances❤️👌

First of all I will mention the production house which behind this venture, "Mammootty Kampany" - it's a Trademark of Quality movies in M' Town and assured to entertain the audience, also never disappointed me. This is the one and only reason for FDFS of this film. 

Mammookka - Versatility at it's best 💎💯

Just notice his recent released products, you will definitely know about how vibrant and versatile his each and every works. Diversity in every film makes this man a genius performer still at his 70s. Coming to Dominic, he portrayed the character with a different way of adding the humour elements in entire the film. This was excited and engaged me a lot. His comedy timings are insane. Gokul Suresh also supported very well. The Lock-up scene is my favourite. Many old movie references are used very well. It creates applause and smiles in the cinemas. I'm eagerly waiting for your upcomings Mammookka...❤️

Gokul Suresh, Viji Venkatesh, Sushmita Bhat and rest of the cast also done a good job. Actually I have to explain more about Sushmita's character but at this time it will spoil your mood. She done a great job as 'Nandita', a professional dancer. Just experience it in the big screens. 

Realistic Action Sequences 💥👌

Kalai Kingson, Supreme Sundar and Action Santhosh are executed the gripping action scenes with Realistic Making. Especially the fight before the interval is something different. It will portrayed in a different way. That's makes highly impact on that action sequence. Other action set pieces are also good. 

Songs & Score 😍👌

Darbuka Siva Songs and Background score was just amazing. The party song not worked for me from the time of watching in YouTube. But it's theatre experience was such a nice mood. Also the BGM was elevated the whole mood of the film. Siva at his best works. 

Top Notch Technical Team😍👌

Cinematography by Vishnu Dev, such a decent DOP. Some visuals are nicely blend with the mood of the film. Edited by Anthony, Production Design by Shaji Naduvil, Art Department by Arun Jose, and rest of the departments was also done very well. 

NEGATIVE

Poor Dubbing Quality 👎

Some character's dialogue deliveries are utter crap, it's just spoiled the scenes and their conversations. This could have been done better. Especially some of the characters are chewing the dialogues, I felt they are delivering the dialogues with difficulty. 

Loopholes of the Screenplay ☹️👎

After I saw the film I have so many doubts and uncleared questions in my mind. This was the drawback of a strong script and the screenplay. GVM, Neeraj, and Sooraj are the team behind the script and the screenplay. They could have been done it more better. But still I doesn't feel any lag in the entire film, also that climax was previously done in many movies, but I couldn't predict it in this film. The movie ends with a Nice Cliffhanger, it was leads to the second part. I think it's an unnecessary task for committing to the second part. Nowadays it's a bad habit of some filmmakers. Here's also no change for that second part rituals 😁🙏

My Opinion

As a whole Dominic and The Ladies'Purse is a a Completely Engaging and Realistic Investigation Thriller with a flavour of Humour Elements. Just go for it with no High Expectations. Dominic and The Ladies' Purse will Thrills and Entertain you too...😊
