A Karthik Subbaraj Cult
This is not a Review Post. I'm just expressing my opinion and suggestions regarding this film. First of all, I don't have any hype or expectations towards this film. Even it's a Karthik Subbaraj Padam, I doesn't feel any High from the Trailer itself. So I started to watch the movie with zero hope.
After that finished the film, I understood that Karthik Subbaraj is slightly overrated director now. In addition, I doesn't like his previous work Jigarthanda Double X. For me it's just an average experience.
Coming to 'Retro' it's a great disappointment and a totally wasted efforts. Because this film has nothing to offer for the audience. It's either to the Fans or the Normal Audience. Nothing New, Nothing Fresh, An Absolute Nothing Film with some irritating performance, scrap of a script, unwanted single shot sequences, and not an impressive casting and overperformances. Karthik Subbaraj should know about his weakpoints and flaws. The Politics told by the film is just forced and older concept. Also that Crap Climax is just a shit. What the hell are you guys doing in the Climax. I'm personally so much disappointed than the last outing of Suriya - 'Kanguva'. Retro is not a retrospective film of the actor and director.
