Frankenstein (2025)
A "Cinematic Poetry" by Guillermo del Toro
OVERVIEW
This Film is the Ultimate 21st-Century adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Classic Novel - "Frankenstein; The Modern Prometheus", a Gothic Novel in 1818. Guillermo del Toro was destined to create this movie, and he has delivered an Awesome, Powerful, and Visually Stunning interpretation that will leave an everlasting impact. He skillfully reinterprets the classic story, also he succeeded to build an Intimate Emotional Connection with the characters as their journeys lead them through a Tragic cycle of Cruelty, Obsession, and Loneliness. Through the spectacular gothic imagery, the Director enriches the themes of this story, Making them Feel Fresh and an Engaging Cinematic Experience without Diluting their Original Inner Meanings and Soul of the Story as well as the Characters.
POSITIVES
Exceptional Cast & Performances
Oscar Isaac delivers a Brilliant Performance as 'Victor Frankenstein', portraying him as a madman consumed by his own ambitions, which is both Chilling and Heartbreaking.
Jacob Elordi instantly won me over the moment he first appeared on screen as the Surprise and Vital Character. He brings a Remarkable Emotional Vulnerability to the character, allowing us to see the humanity in The Creature, which is both thrilling and deeply touched my heart. And under the masterful direction of Guillermo del Toro, Elordi’s portrayal will be remembered as One of the Best of All Time. The rest of the cast also shines in their respective roles, and I want to give a big shoutout to David Bradley for his small but touching appearance.
Mind-blowing Making Quality
The Production and Art Department of this film is Extraordinary, relying heavily on real and practical designs. From the Aesthetically Pleasing Cinematography and Impressive Production design to the incredible costumes by Kate Hawley and the beautiful makeup design for The Creature by Mike Hill.
Additionally, Alexandre Desplat delivers another Memorable and Brilliant Background Score for a Del Toro film. While it is inevitable that there will be other adaptations of Frankenstein in the future, they will struggle to match the Excellence of this Guillermo Del Toro Masterpiece.
NEGATIVES
The only negative is Netflix doesn't release this Masterpiece in Indian Cinemas. Really missed that Theatre Experience.
MY OPINION
As a whole, Frankenstein was One of the Best Cinematic Experience in this year for me. Most of the Hollywood movies released in this year was highly disappointed and overrated for me personally. But this one is Totally Different because of the Finest Filmmaking, Brilliant Script and Powerful Performances. Everything about this film is Extraordinary. I'm also adding this is strictly my opinion only. You just Experience this Cinematic Poetry and give your feedback.
